Flaming Sword
Thanks to Rob Sakaluk for this fantastic contribution to the MASTER'S Workshop.

This is a conversion from one of the newer Reaper Dark Heaven fighter minis. Actually for my my personal collection, totally inspired by Siegfried from Soul Calibur. I started by taking off the original helmeted head with a jewelers saw then dremelling into the neck to make room for a plastic Catachan head which I had filed the headband off of. I also opted for a larger sword blade made from plastic card to get a broad face area to add runes. After all that I added some gribblies to the cross piece to make it a bit more interesting then went at it with green stuff to sculpt the long hair then the flames on the sword.

Next on to painting, I started on the face 1st like usual then had a good go at the main attraction the flames.

Lastly I got everything else painted then went on to lighting effects. This was tricky since I was adding glow over metalics, I started on the glow areas with orange ink then went over that with orange paint.
